How to Make Money with Baseball

Baseball season is about to begin and  wanted to show you an affiliate program that you can use to target baseball fans, fantasy baseball payers and gamblers alike. There are many of these sites. They started to pop up a few years ago and really took off. They appeal to fantasy sports players and are very fun and addicting in a good way. These sites are daily fantasy sports sites.

Basically, instead of playing with a team for the entire year, you play with a new one each day. The games are set up similar to poker in that the player will choose a game(s) to buy in to and pay a small commission to the site with each entry. As an affiliate you will earn money off of these commissions.

There are many site to choose from, but we are going to take a look at fanduel.com. At Fanduel, you will gain “recruits” by signing them up through your affiliate account. They offer 2 main payouts: a 35% revenue share and $35 per player deposit.

Each time a new recruit signs up and makes a deposit, you will earn $35. With the revenue share, you will earn a percent of the players site fees. The good thing about the lump payout is that most users will never generate $35 or more in earnings for you. On the other hand, there are some players which will really take a liking to the game and in turn, generate $100’s or $1,000’s of dollars over the years. If you want some short term earnings, I would suggest going with the $35 per payout. If you are in it for the long haul, the percentage payout will usually pay out more in the long run.

Their payout structure is tiered.

With the cash payout option, you will earn $25 each for the first 25 recruits, then is jumps to $30 each for the next 75 recruits. After 100 recruits that deposit, you will earn $35 per signup and deposit.

The percentage payout is similar in structure. After the first $2,000 your recruits pay in league fee’s in a given month, you will earn 25%. From $2,000-$5,000, you will earn 30% and from $5,000+, you will earn 35%.

These higher tiers are mainly meant for large sites that partner with Fanduel, however, they are achievable with a lot of time and work. When you are starting out, keep your expectations in check and anticipate earning $25/25% for a really long time.

The best way to recruit players to these sites is with freerolls. A freeroll is a free game that pays out real money. Usually, 100’s or 1,000’s of people will play in these freerolls and only the top 10 or so will with prize money. The goal with the freerolls are to give you an easy way to encourage new players to join and get their feet wet. Once they see what it is all about, they will be much more likely to join and start playing real money games.

Baseball season is about to begin and this presents a great opportunity to take advantage of the millions of fantasy baseball players that are looking for new leagues to join. If you are looking for a non-traditional affiliate to promote, this may be one to look in to.
